SECTION IV Asked At The Brief · Q & A 06 questions

Asked at the
brief.

Branding is the whole mental model — strategy, positioning, identity system, voice, the long arc. Graphic design is the craft work that brings any one piece of it to life — a poster, a pack, a spread, a logo. You can hire us for graphic design without branding if you already have a brand system to design within; you can hire us for branding and we'll do the graphic design as part of it.
Both, and we treat them as different disciplines. Print needs dielines, bleed, CMYK conversion, paper-stock selection, finishing notes, often on-press supervision. Screen needs RGB, accessibility contrast, asset variants for every aspect ratio. Roughly half our output ends up printed — packaging, editorial, posters — so the studio is set up for both.
Two structured review rounds are included in every engagement — the first after the chosen direction is roughed out, the second on the refined system before final delivery. Further rounds are billed in 4-hour designer-time blocks. We avoid open-ended revision cycles because they make design worse, not better — a piece needs to land and breathe between iterations.
No. We take on early-stage founders, independent labels, restaurants, small publishers, and one-off campaigns alongside large brand engagements. Smaller projects move through our Sprint workflow — same studio, tighter scope, faster turnaround. The work quality doesn't scale with the size of the client.
Everything your team will realistically need: vector source files (AI / SVG), print-ready PDFs (X-1a, CMYK, with crop marks and bleed), web-optimized assets (PNG, WEBP, SVG), and the working source files in Figma or InDesign. Plus a one-page short guidelines document so anyone reaching for the file knows the right way to use it.
Yes, and we often do. Either we lead and your in-house designer extends the system into BAU work, or your in-house designer leads the brand and we step in for specific high-craft pieces — annual report, packaging launch, gallery campaign. The relationship usually gets warmer over time, not colder.
